Candice Swanepoel and Rosie Huntington
Behind the scenes with two of the hotter VS girls :) An enjoyable 2:17
Highlights From Wednesday Night
Lots of action tonight, so let's get to it!
Ovechkin scores and then gets tossed as the Capitals win 2-0 over the Sabres. Ovechkin got thrown out of the game tonight for a boarding penalty in the 3rd, bad hit for sure, and probably suspension worthy. See below. He hit Kaleta though, so maybe it's ok :) Joking. Lost in this was Varlamov making a 25 save shutout. Great game for him. Boxscore here.
The Leafs hold onto a lead in the 3rd and beat the Lightning 4-3. Will wonders never cease. Hagman scored 2 goals, the Leafs blew 2 leads, but in the end Gustavsson and the Leafs got a much needed win. Stamkos picked up 2 assists in the game, and Lecavalier scored on a sweet shot. Nice goal by Hagman below. Boxscore here.
Elias gets his first goal of the year, the game winner, and the Devils beat the Senators 3-1. Was really 2-1 with an empty netter, close game for sure, with Brodeur edging out Elliott, in goal for the injured Leclaire. Would have been nice to see the Sens take this, we could really use a Canadian playoff team in the East. Boxscore here.
Hartnell scores a late goal to win it for the Flyers, 2-1 over the Islanders. Another close game with Boucher and Biron making most of the saves tonight. Hunter and Richards scored the other goals. Lapierre got in a couple scraps tonight, some of his work below. Boxscore here.
The Penguins were all over the Canadiens tonight and won the game 3-1. Outshot 30-19, Price kept his team in this one but the skill players were to much for the Habs tonight. Gonchar, Guerin and Crosby scored to lead the Penguins. Boxscore here.
Pavelec steals one for the Thrashers in Detroit, 2-0. Great game for Pavelec, he made some huge saves, and his offense gave him a couple goals, enough to win. Antropov and Kozlov got all the offense that Pavelec needed. Boxscore here.
Parenteau scored the shootout winner to lead the Rangers over the Panthers, 2-1. Vokoun and Lundqvist were tough to beat on this night, making 27 and 25 saves respectively. Gaborik and Moore got the goals. Boxscore here.
Krejci scored the shootout winner to put the Bruins up 2-1 over the Wild. It was actually Minnesota that carried the play in this one, outshooting the Bruins 29-16, but Rask is looking great in goal lately. His numbers are a little better then those of Thomas and the team is winning under him, with Thomas out due to injury. Boxscore here.
Boyes gets the shootout winner as the Blues win against the Stars, 4-3. Backes and Oshie both had a goal and an assist to lead the Blues, and Conklin out-dueled Turco in the end. Modano and Richards each had 2 assists for the Stars. Boxscore here.
Legwand scores the OT winner to beat the Avalanche, as Nashville wins 4-3. Another tough night for Anderson and the Avs ... the magic appears to be diminishing. Rinne and the Preds get another win, their 7th straight. They are the hottest team in the league right now, mainly due to Rinne in goal. Weber had a goal and an assist. Boxscore here.
Kiprusoff leads the Flames over the Coyotes in Calgary, 2-1. Kipper made a number of big saves in this one, and Dawes scored the winner late in the 3rd. Big win for the Flames, as they have struggled on home ice. Nice way to come off a solid road trip. Boxscore here.
The Kings beat the Oilers 3-1, despite no points from Kopitar. Kopitar has struggled big time, goaless in 7 now without Smyth. Who knew Smyth was so important to this young team. Nonetheless, they got the win, and that is all that really matters. Handzus knocked Hemsky out of the game on a pretty questionable hit. Souray was pretty upset following the game that Handzus only got 2 mins. Simmonds had a goal and an assist to lead the Kings. Boxscore here.
Anaheim took advantage of a team actually worse then themselves, beating Carolina 3-2. Selanne had a goal and an assist to lead the Ducks, and Giguere made 28 saves for the win. Legace made 30 for the 'Canes but it was not enough. The loss puts Carolina firmly in last again. Boxscore here.
Hossa's debut is spectacular as he scores 2 and the Blackhawks crush the Sharks 7-2 in a clash of the league leaders. What a statement game for the Hawks! They scored 3 shorthanded goals, 2 on one powerplay, and the Sharks were left bewildered. Was 7-0 before 2 late goals by San Jose. Keith had 3 assists for the Hawks. Boxscore here.
Leafs Down The Lightning
Third time was lucky for the Leafs tonight, in terms of leads. They blew two leads in this one, but actually looked pretty good preserving a 3rd period, one goal advantage tonight to take a 4-3 win on the road in Tampa. 5 points now in 6 games for Toronto. They really needed this game obviously as they find themselves last in the NHL.Gustavsson had his struggles in this one, but in the end played a solid game. Beauchemin is actually coming around, maybe starting to be the player that everyone expected him to be this summer when he signed with the Leafs. He made a great play offensively, a stretch pass that sprang Hagman for a goal, and made a great diving poke check on a breakaway defensively.
Hagman scored 2 more goals tonight, 5 now in his last 5 games ... 11 now on the year. No sooner then he does this, the Leafs media starts the trade rumors swirling. Hagman is a decent player and at $3M per year they should hang onto him for a while.
Gunnarsson looked pretty good, putting up 3 assists tonight. 4 points in 6 games for the rookie out of Sweden. He looks more poised on the ice then a rookie should but I guess he has the Elite league experience going for him.
Kulemin and Stajan had the other Leaf goals.
Toronto jumped out to a 2-0 lead in this one, only to blow it to head into the 1st intermission tied at 2. They scored again to start the 2nd but then Tampa answered back. A late goal in the 2nd by Stajan proved to be the winner.
Good night for Toronto, hopefully they can get a little run going here. Next up is Florida on Friday night.

Top Plays Of The Last Week
In case you missed them, TSN's That's Hockey Top 10 plays of the last week. Heatley and Thornton look irritating to defend against.
Laura Vandervoort
You probably recognize Laura from Smallville, plays the character Kara, but she is popping up all over the place lately. She is in the new show V, was in the movie "Into The Blue 2: The Reef", and is in a few new ones coming out. The 25 year old is rising up the celebrity ranks in Hollywood. Not hard to see why!![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Helping You Through Hump Day
Here is a sexy brunette in boy shorts. Fantastic view! Investigations will commence to determine who she is.
One Quarter Done ... How My Predictions Stack Up
I made some predictions about this season back on October 1st. Now that 1/4 of the games have been played, figured I should check in and see if I am on track.Looking at the trophy races ...
Hart - Picked Ovechkin, seems on pace to get there again baring another injury. He has some competition for sure, Gaborik, Anderson, Kopitar ...
Vezina - Picked Luongo, but he has not been as sharp this season and has been hurt. Anderson probably is your clear favorite right now, but Columbus has been sliding. Miller was looking to be a lock, but Buffalo has slipped lately as well. Nabokov is playing well, and shockingly Huet is 3rd in the league among starters in goals against.
Norris - Had Chara getting it, but there is a group of 4 defensemen establishing themselves right now. Some usual names, some unexpected. Kaberle, Boyle, Green and Doughty. At this point I would probably give the edge to Boyle just based on his overall play, but it is an interesting race.
Calder - Picked Varlamov, and he is definitely in the running, but Tavares has really surprised, doing a lot better then I had given him credit for. Van Riemsdyk might be the front runner right now with 18 points in 18 games. Del Zotta has been great on defense for the Rangers, with 17 points in 24 games.
Jack Adams - Picked Murray in St Louis as my candidate for coach of the year, what a disaster that has been so far. At this point, you'd have to like Sacco in Colorado or maybe Ruff in Buffalo (as much as that makes me sad). Both those teams have slipped lately.
Art Ross - For most points, I had Malkin again, but he missed some time, and will have to light it up to make up the time he lost. I do not think Kopitar will keep it up, Gaborik will get hurt, Thornton might be a good bet here given how well he is clicking with Heatley.
Maurice Richard - Most goals ... Ovechkin is still the favorite here, despite missing some time. Heatley, Gaborik and Iginla are the current leaders, pretty much as I expected.
Some fun surprises early on for sure, but as teams start to slide off I think some of the guys like Anderson, Miller and Kopitar will slide off. Would be fun if they didn't but just cannot see them keeping it going.
Playoff Teams ...
I had Anaheim and St. Louis making it in for the West, both seeming to be horrendous picks. I still think that Anaheim can do better, St. Louis might be a lost cause.
Had Montreal making it through to the playoffs in the East, was a reach but the way they are going, coupled with the Markov injury, looking like a long shot. That being said, Price is coming around big time lately, and a hot goalie can take you far. Can Ottawa really be our Canadian team from the East??
Briere To Sit For Two Games
Daniel Briere was suspended by the league for 2 games for his late hit on Scott Hannan. Not really sure the motivation behind this one, Briere is not normally a goon, in that he is only 5'10 and not even 180 lbs. Be that as it may, the hit was uncalled for in my mind (can look for yourself below), and it was nice to see the league hand out a suspension to one of the better players.
There always seems to be a double standard, highlight by George Laraque's comments after he was suspended earlier this week. Laraque asked whether his 5 game suspension would have been the same if it'd been him that was hit. Fair question.

Twiglight Absolutely Destroyed The BoxOffice This Past Weekend - $142.8M
Little late for this but thought it was worth mentioning for those that like to keep track of boxoffice results. The new Twilight flick pulled in a whopping $142.8M over the weekend! This on a film that had just a $50M budget. Insane! This is good for 3rd best all-time in terms of opening weekend success, trailing only The Dark Knight ($158.4M) and Spiderman 3 ($151.1M). Apparently the ladies can really move the results when they want to. Keep in mind, those other two flicks had budgets up around the $200M+ range. I guess this means the Twilight series will continue on.The Blind Side, the Sandra Bullock movie was second this weekend with $34.1M. 2012 had another strong week, pulling in $26.4M. Apparently everyone was at the movies this past weekend.
This is a pic of Ashley Greene, the only real reason I could see to sitting through Twilight.
Candice Swanepoel ... Again
This girl is really stealing the show lately as far as Victoria's Secret models go. She looks quite hot in this fantastic little dress. Check out a few more pics of her below with some less attractive model.![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Lots Of Hockey Tonight
Wednesday has pretty much turned into Saturday as far as the schedule goes this week. 28 teams go at it tonight, should be fun!Toronto travels to Tampa Bay, minus Toskala and Mitchell. Most likely will have Gustavsson in goal tonight. MacDonald has been called up. The Leafs will try to build on their effort against the Islanders, a win tonight would be quite helpful. Tampa has gone 2-1-2 in the last 5 so it's anyone's guess as to which team shows up tonight. Stamkos will be entertaining anyway.
Buffalo is in Washington, with the Sabres desperately needing a win. They have lost 3 straight and have given up the division lead to Ottawa. They are giving up goals like they haven't all year, maybe the magic of their fast start has finally worn off. They will have their hands full with Ovechkin and co.
Ottawa is into New Jersey. Suddenly Ottawa holds the 3rd seed in the East, albeit moreso because they control their division, but still, 3rd is pretty impressive. I suspect it will be Boston in this spot quite soon with Savard back, but good for the Sens for getting here. Losing Leclaire will not help them. Jersey has been very good, tough game for Ottawa tonight, but if they are for real, they need to grab this one.
Montreal won a tough one last night, and it gets harder tonight as they are in Pittsburgh to take on Malkin and Crosby. Might see a bit of a let down for the Habs tonight, but they have been pretty scrappy lately. Will be a tough challenge though, as Pittsburgh has their stars back, and are getting more bodies back on the blue line.
Atlanta is in Detroit tonight. Has there been a more fun team to watch then the Thrashers lately? Late goals to take games, tons of scoring, Kovalchuk has really settled in nicely with Afinogenov, quite possibly the best free agent signing this offseason, and to think they got him for $1M. Detroit will have their hands full with these two, but obviously boast a host of their own stars. Should be a fun game.
Nashville in Colorado. Would never have thought this would be an interesting game but Rinne has the Predators winning and they will look to take advantage of a struggling Colorado team. The Avs are 2-3-0 in their last 5, but did win against the Flyers the other night in a goal fest. We'll see if they can settle down and take control of their division once again.
Calgary hosts Phoenix tonight, and after all the road success the Flames had, they need to get this one at home. Calgary has had troubles on their home ice, which is odd given their past success there. Hopefully they can bury the Coyotes tonight, who have been winning on the back of their goalie, Bryzgalov, who seems to have returned to his form of 2 seasons ago.
The Kings will roll into Edmonton, with the Kings having lost 2 straight and the Oilers coming off a big win over Phoenix. With Souray healthy again, the Oilers seem to have some jump in their step. The Kings on the other hand are really missing Ryan Smyth, apparently he was the catalyst up front. We'll see if Kopitar can find a way to get going without him tonight.
Chicago is in San Jose tonight, for what might be the best matchup of the evening. Hossa makes his long anticipated Chicago debut and these two teams are separated by just 4 points in the standings for top spot in the league, with the Hawks having 3 games in hand. A win for Chicago tonight would go a long way as to establishing them as the team to beat in the NHL.
Other games include the Flyers visiting the Islanders, the Rangers in Florida, Boston in Minnesota, St. Louis in Dallas, and Carolina in Anaheim. Enjoy the action!
Model Megan Fowler
Megan is 20 years old, 5'4, from California, USA. She is still getting into the modeling game, basically on the word of others pushing her to take advantage of her smile. Megan has done a few photoshoots, some runway work, and her goal is to be published. I am sure she will get there. Megan loves sports, being outside, snowboarding, you name it. Sounds like fun. Married though at 20, go figure :)Check out more pics of Megan below. Enjoy!
